Microarray Analysis and Data Management

GEMTools™ software provides powerful tools for managing and analyzing the results of GEM™ microarray experiments. It utilizes a proprietary image recognition algorithm which interprets the scanned images of a processed GEM array. GEMTools software then compares those results against a library database to identify which genes were differentially expressed in the two cell samples and at what intensity.

For example, by comparing samples from normal and cancerous cells, GEMTools can quickly pinpoint which genes are over-expressed or under-expressed in the cancerous cells. This data can provide new insights into the cause of the pathology.

GEMTools software manages the large amounts of data generated by GEM experiments, tracking information about different GEM arrays, the gene represented on each element, the two flourescent probes hybridized to each array, and the 20,000 element scans from each experiment.

Search and reporting tools provide powerful analysis capabilities like comparing gene expression across a time series to see the effects of a drug over time.
